If you are a director of a company, you MUST apply for a Directors ID.
Directors appointed on or before 31/10/21 have until the 30th of November 2022 to apply.
If you intend on becoming a director, you must apply before being appointed.

Company directors will face significant criminal and civil penalties if they fail to obtain a director ID or fail to apply for one when directed to do so by the registrar.
The maximum criminal penalty in these cases is $13,200 and the maximum civil penalty is $1.1 million.
Directors also face criminal penalties of up to $26,640 or one year imprisonment, and civil penalties of up to $1.1 million, if they apply for multiple Director IDs or misrepresent their Director ID.
